The aim of Tashihunniyah :
To rectify our intention so that every deeds is done only to please Allah swt
The virtues of Tashihunniyah :
Verses form the holy Qur'an :
بَلَىٰ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَجْهَهُ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ فَلَهُ أَجْرُهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
Nay,-whoever submits his whole self to Allah and is a doer of good, He will get his reward with His Lord; on such shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. ( Q. Al Baqarah : 112)
قُلْ أَمَرَ رَبِّي بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَقِيمُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍ وَادْعُوهُ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأَكُمْ تَعُودُونَ
Say:"My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon him, making your devotion sincere as in his sight: such as he created you in the beginning, so shall ye return. ( Q. Al A'raf :29)
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تَمُوتَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ كِتَابًا مُؤَجَّلًا ۗ وَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا وَمَنْ يُرِدْ ثَوَابَ الْآخِرَةِ نُؤْتِهِ مِنْهَا ۚ وَسَنَجْزِي الشَّاكِرِينَ
Nor can a soul die except by Allah leave, the term being fixed as by writing. if any do desire a reward in this life, we shall give it to him; and if any do desire a reward in the hereafter, we shall give it to Him, and swiftly shall we reward those that (serve us with) gratitude. ( Q. Ali Imran : 145)
Rasulullah Saw. said :
Muadz ibn Jabal r.a. narrates that Nabi Saw. said:" Hi, Muadz, Observe sincerity in all religious believes and action for it'll increase the rewards of your good deeds. ( Hakim)
عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: (إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى صُوَرِكُمْ وَأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَأَعْمَالِكُمْ). رواه مسلم
Abu Hurairah r.a. narrates that Rasulullah Saw. said : "Allah does not consider your faces and your riches but He considers your hearts and the nature of your deed". ( Muslim)
The way to obtain it:
1. We should exhort the importance of tashihunniyah
2. We should rectify out intention anytime and in any condition before, while and after doing something.
3. We should make istighfar after performing good deed.
4. We should pray to Allah, may Allah give us the essence of ikhlas.
