Dzikir is remembering Allah as grand as He is.
The aim of Ilmu ma'a dzikir ( Knowledge and Dzikir)
Obeying the commandments of Allah anytime and in any condition by bearing the grandeur of Allah into our heart and follow the lifestyle of Rasulullah Saw.
A. Knowledge ( Ilmu)
The virtues of Ilmu :
Verse from the Holy Qur'an :
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ وَالدَّوَابِّ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهُ كَذَٰلِكَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌ
And so amongst men and crawling creatures and cattle, are They of various colours, those truly fear Allah, among His servants, who have knowledge: for Allah is Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving. (Q. Fatir :28)
قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ
Say: Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endowed with understanding that receive admonition. (Q. Az Zumar : 9)
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمْ تَفَسَّحُوا فِي الْمَجَالِسِ فَافْسَحُوا يَفْسَحِ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا قِيلَ انْشُزُوا فَانْشُزُوا يَرْفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتٍ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ
O ye who believe! When ye are told to make room in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room;(ample) room will Allah provide for you. And when ye are told to rise up, rise up Allah will rise up, to (suitable) ranks (and degrees), those of you who believe and who have been granted (mystic) knowledge. And Allah is well-acquainted with all ye do. (Q. Al Mujadalah : 11)
Rasulullah Saw said :
مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِى الدِّينِ
Muawiyah r.a. narrates : I heard Nabi Saw. saying, "The one whom Allah intends good, He (Allah) guides him toward understanding of deen. Indeed I am only a distributor and Allah is The One who grants". ( Bukhari)
وَمَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا، سَهَّلَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهِ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ
Abu Hurairah r.a. narrates that Rasulullah Saw. said :" Whoever makes his way easy to pursue religious knowledge, Allah will make his way easy to enter the paradise". ( Muslim)
يَا أَبَاذَرٍّ ، لَأَنْ تَغْدَوْا فَتُعَلِّمَ اَيَةً مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنْ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَ مِائَةَرَكْعَةٍ ، وَلَأَنْ تَغْدُوْا فَتُعَلِّمَ بَابًا مِنَ الْعِلْمِ عُمِلَ بِهِ اَوْ لَمْ يُعْمَلْ ، خَيْرٌ مِنْ اَنْ تُصَلِّيَأَلْفَ رَكْعَةٍ
Abu Dzar r.a. narrates that Rasulullah Saw told me: " O... Abu Dzar, if you go in the morning and learn a verse from the book of Allah, it is better for you than performing 100 rakaat of nafl sholat. And if you go in the morning and learn a chapter of knoledge, which may or not be applicable at that time,, it is better for you than performing 1000 rakaat of nafl sholat". ( Ibnu Majah)
اُغْدُ عَالِمًا اَوْ مُتَعَلّمًا اَوْ مُسْتَمِعًا اَوْ مُحِبًّا لاَ تَكُنِ اْلخَامِسَ فَتَهْلِكَ. البيهقى فى شعب الايمان
Abdurrahman Ibn Abu Bakrah r.a. narrates from his father, he said : I heard Rasulullah Saw saying: "You should become either (1) An 'Alim. (2) A seeker of knowledge of deen. (3) An attentive listener to the knowledge of deen or (4) A lover of knowledge of deen and Ulama'. Do not be the (5th) kind, otherwise you will be ruined, the fifth kind is that you bear malice towards knowledge of deen and those who posses it". ( Thabrani)
The way to obtain knowledge
a. Ilm Fadhoil ( Knowledge about the virtues of good deed)
1. We should talk about the importance of Ilm Fadhoil
2. We should bear in our mind the benefits of good deeds in every amal (deed)
3. We should attend the gathering of ta'lim fadhoil.
4. We should talk to the people to sit in the gathering of ta'lim fadhoil
5. We should pray to Allah may Allah give us the essence of ilm fadhoil
b. Ilm Masail ( Knowledge about Islamic Law)
1.We should talk about the importance of Ilm Masail
2 We should attend the gathering of ta'lim Masail
3. We should visit the Ulama and ask him about our worldly and religion problem
4. We should pray to Allah may Allah give us the essence of ilm Masail
B. Dzikir
The virtues of Dzikir :
Verse from the Holy Qur'an :
الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۗ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah. For without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction. ( Q. Ar Ra'd : 28)
فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ
Then do ye remember Me, I will remember you. Be grateful to me, and reject not faith. ( Q. Al Baqarah 152)
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا
وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
O ye who believe ! celebrate the praises of Allah,
and do this often; and glorify Him morning and evening. ( Q. Al Ahzab 41- 42)
Rasulullah Saw. said :
مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ وَالَّذِي لاَ يَذْكُرُ رَبَّهُ ، مَثَلُ الْـحَيِّ وَ الْـمَيِّتِ
Abu Musa narrates Nabi Saw. said : " The example of one who remembers of his Rabb ( Allah) and one who does not remember of his Rabb, they are like the example of the living person and the dead person". (Bukhari)
ليس يتحسر أهل الجنة إلا على ساعة مرت بهم لم يذكروا الله عزوجل فيها
Muadz Ibnu Jabal r.a narrates that Rasulullah Saw. said :" The dweller of paradise will not regret over anything except the moment spent by them in the world life without the remembrance of Allah Azza wa Jalla". ( Thabrani)
Anas Ibn Malik r.a narrates that Rasulullah Saw. said : "A person who remember Allah and his eyes over flow due to fear of Allah, such that a few tears fall on the ground Allah Ta'ala will not punish him on the day of resurrection ( Hakim)
The way to obtain Dzikir :
1.We should talk about the importance of Dzikir
2 We should make dzikir which also consist of reading The Holy Qur'an (at least one Juz everyday)
3. We should recite tasbihat, sholawat and istighfar 100 times each (in the morning and in the evening everyday)
4. We should practice du'a masnunah in every amal
5. We should pray to Allah may Allah give us the essence of dzikir
