If you are ever planning to go to Hajj and Umrah, please listen to this attentively. The loss of adab in our age is tragic. - As said our brother Syakh Mohammed Aslam.
I have come across many people in the West who visit Madinah and Mecca, yet they spend their days and nights in the hotels. They waste time in shopping malls, restaurants and in Mcdonalds. They live on their phones in Arafah. People make the whole Tawaf on Skype an Whatsapp. They have an addiction to selfies in Instagram whilst giving salam to the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Where has the adab gone? Others throw away 5 star unfinished food into the bins, yet they are in the city of that Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ who used to tie stones to his stomach due to hunger. These people did not have the right mindset when they went and they did not know who they were standing before.
Search out for those who are poor and elderly in Madinah and Mecca, and talk to them. It took some of them over 50 years to raise enough money to finally visit. They sleep on the floor and they live on dates and bread, yet they are in complete love with the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. They spend their days and night crying and saying, " Assalatu wa Salam 'alayka Ya Rasulullah !".
When Imam Abu Hanifa was asked why he did not migrate and live in Madinah?, he said, "I prefer my body to be in Kufa (now Iraq) and my heart to be in Madinah, than for my body to be in Madinah and my heart in Kufa.".
A few years ago, some news recording in Africa with a drone. When a poor old man saw the drone, he throught it was a plane and asked, "Can this pick me up and take me to Madinah?" His love was so great to the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , that the Turkish goverment ended up taking him for free.
Why have our tears dried? Why have our hearts died? Our forefathers did not even complaint about the heat of Madinah
